"We are living in a social reality that is not like anything we have seen in our lifetime. The term, the “Cancel Culture” has become synonymous with these times. What is the Cancel Culture? Simply put, if my view is not your view, I cancel you from my life.
I still remember the November of 2016 election, when the presidential election results came out. How it caused division in our country! In fact, according to a Reuters/Ipsos (global market researcher) survey, 15% of Americans had stopped talking to a relative or close friend as a result of that election.

Summer in Santa Clarita Valley seems to get longer each year. It feels that way. It’s hotter and dryer. One day, I noticed my heels were super dry. Lotions or ointment were only helpful momentarily in the heat of the high desert weather.
While my actual feet were dry and heels cracking, my soul felt that dryness too. Wrestling and providing guidance during the COVID pandemic, racial unrest, and denominational and political anxiety, all of them drained my energy and soul. I felt not one ounce of energy left in me by early November.
